As we finish our fundraising campaign, we want to share a quick snapshot of this year. We clarified our mission to “Gathering Neighbors, Growing Trust.” We also expanded our work into three clear areas: local practice and shared tools, media, and public leadership and civic engagement. These changes give us more focus while staying true to who we’ve always been.
This year also marked a big step forward nationally. We deepened partnerships with groups like the Rippel Foundation, Mediators Foundation, Braver Angels, and Better Together America. Through the Intermovement Impact Project, led by Walt Roberts, PTU has become part of a growing national bridge-building and pro-democracy movement. While we remain grounded in Washington State, we are now part of a wider conversation about both the challenges our country faces and the assets we already have to respond. We call this “locally rooted, nationally engaged.”
We continue to be in partnership with a broad range of organizations across the state. We have initiated the Washington State Interfaith Network, bringing local interfaith groups together on Zoom to partner with one another. We are working with Seattle University’s Center for Ecumenical and Interreligious Engagement and the Faith Action Network on an interfaith effort in the greater Seattle area.
Jeff Renner and team continued to produce an incredible slate of shows in 2025. We are now nearing 200 episodes!
Looking ahead, we are launching the Thriving Together Washington Civic Innovation Network, releasing the Let’s Go Together Toolkit, and beginning a statewide speaking tour titled Living on the Edge: How human nature is being hacked, and how we can respect each other again.
This year also brought hard decisions. We said a fond farewell to Ean Olsen and Carla Penderock, and we are deeply grateful for their contributions. These changes have helped us focus and stay flexible as we continue to grow.
We remain inspired by the founding vision of Father Treacy and Rabbi Levine: to bring unity to the human family. We need that vision now more than ever. The social contract in the United States is fragile, and many people are longing for belonging and renewal. At PTU, we believe we already have what we need—but it will take a whole-of-society response to a whole-of-society problem. Thank you for being our partners in this work. The time is now to wake to our challenges and rise to meet them—together.
If this vision matters to you, we invite you to help carry it forward. Your financial support makes it possible for PTU to gather neighbors, grow trust, and equip communities across Washington State and beyond. As we step into a new year of expanding partnerships, shared tools, and public leadership, your gift helps turn hope into real, on-the-ground change. Thank you for standing with us at this important moment.
