The Growth of an Interfaith Friendship
by Father William Treacy
Father William Treacy and Rabbi Raphael Levine have shown the world that interfaith friendship, collaboration, and brotherhood, are wholly positive constructs. This book represents their journey together, with reflections on the past, and hopes for the future.
Rabbi Levine and Father Treacy came from different backgrounds, but met each other on one of the most successful programs in KOMO-TV history, “Challenge,” a show based on religious icons from different faiths discussing various topics. They listened and debated with the goal of educating and sharing with the public. This book not only covers their time on television, but discusses their journey together, from Rabbi Levine building an alter for Father Treacy, to founding Camp Brotherhood, known as the Treacy Levine Center today that offers facilities for educational, spiritual and experiential programs.
“The Growth of an Interfaith Friendship” was written by Father William Treacy, with selected chapters from Rabbi Raphael Levine.
