Behind and Before Us

PTU will work to create and strengthen multi-faith partnerships. In every neighborhood, town, and city there are communities of wisdom who also sense this coming. They want to do their part of create stronger ties of love, respect, and cooperation between people of different wisdom traditions. When people of strongly held practices, beliefs, and values work for stronger communities it lights the way for another approach to the challenges coming our way.

It builds social capital.
It builds stronger communities.
It helps people to see that they are not alone and that we can face the future together.

A Moment of Gratitude and Courage

When we can prepare ourselves through prayer, meditation, conversation with friends, clergy, or therapists to engage our family with courage and gratitude we can invite them to recognize our deepest need: the need for a family that will stick by us. As they sense this need is met they have the possibility to relax. Then in a more calm state we can talk about our shared values and how we differ on some.
